ITINERARY AND ROUTE MAP FOR A JOURNEY TO ISRAEL

Itinerary for journey to Israel

During the few days which we had in Israel, we managed to visit the legendary Masada – a fort at the Dead Sea from the days of Herod The Great, swim in the Dead Sea by the Ein Bokek resort. We accomodated ourselves in Tel Aviv and from there went on trips into the surroudning areas – we walked through the ancient Jaffa harbour, visited the ruins of the roman city Caesarea, also spent a day in mystical Jerusalem and relaxed on the Tel Aviv beaches.

I planned my itinerary as follows:

01 - flight 22:25-03:15, Masada, Ein Bokek - beach, Tel Aviv
02 - Tel Aviv, sightseeing, swimming
03 - Tel Aviv, sightseeing 14:00-20:00 Caesarea
04 - Tel Aviv, sightseeing 14:00-23:00 Jaffa
05 - Tel Aviv, sightseeing Jeruzalém
06 - Tel Aviv, sightseeing, swimming 10:00-13:00, flight 17:55 - 21:15

What I would do differently today

I could not do this trip in my own way because I was obliged to combine it with other duties. I could not plan the sightseeing tour, but I was able to take excursions to the surroundings in my moments of free time.

If I had two weeks to go, I would use local train and bus connections and start the journey in Tel Aviv – Jaffa and continue to Haifa and to the crusader site Akka to the north. Through Safed and the Galilee Lake, I would reach Jericho and the Dead Sea. The three following days I would dedicate to Jerusalem, and from there I would visit Masada, bathe in the Dead Sea and return to Tel Aviv.
